What a day! The Yankees have the worst record in baseball. Even if for only 15 hours or so....it still makes my heart smile for just a bit.

Happy Opening Day to everyone. 84 degrees and sunny and I'm off to the ballpark.

Have to enjoy it while we can. On the flip side, its technically just now opening day and already the Orioles are a half game back!

It's a beautiful day for a ballgame, lets play two!

Amen. The Yankees are the worst thing in sports besides the Hawkeyes.

I think you are giving a Nathan-less Twinkies squad a lot of credit!(?)

Look, losing Nathan sucks, but there are a lot more valuable pieces the Twins could lose that would be a hell of a lot more painful than Nathan - like losing Morneau at the end of last year. I personally think the Twins will be okay regardless, but even if Rauch isn't cutting it the Twins have already said they'll trade to fill in the void if in-house just isn't working. I just don't see this as the problem that a lot of people are hoping that it will be.

Not hoping for a problem for the Twinkies. I root for them in the AL. I just don't see the fire this team needs. Maybe playing out in the elements will give them some spark. I plan to take the family to a game or two to check out Target Field.

I would still love to see a Twins/Cubs WS, but it will never happen.
