Would we be a bowl team this year playing iowa's schedule?

Or the schedules of the teams that were "quality wins". Such as Northwestern, Wisconsin, or Pitt?

In theory you would hope so but after watching the meltdown this weekend after blowing a big lead nothing can be assumed.

I would if the course of the season happened in the big 10, wed have 6 wins. If we started Lanning and this run-first offense from the beginning, 9 wins?

We'd probably be a bowl team but despite being able to compete with Iowa for most of a game our tendency to **** games away probably would have kept us from being much higher than 6-6\7-5

People will say we still would have had the meltdowns, but I doubt it. After repeatedly playing awful teams you would learn how to win games. That was part of our problem this year. We didn't know how to win.

Since we are 3 plays away from 6-5 on our own schedule, yes we'd have 6-7 wins with theirs.

This is loser BS.

Just like how many we would have won if games were only 30 minutes long.

Focusing on what actually occurred, reality, might be where wisdom lies, as opposed to these nauseous flights into fantasy.

The ISU team that played early, like the versus Toledo team or the Lanning team of the second half of the season?

We would be good enough to win 8 with that schedule but we would have ****** two of them away. Splitting the difference I would say we would have made a bowl at 6-6 counting the win against ourselves since it would be at home. Playing yourself at home is pretty much a guaranteed win.

Trying to make ourselves feel better by comparing us against Iowa's schedule is just unproductive thinking. Do you really think we're superior to Pitt, Wisci, Nwestern, Minn, Purdue, Nebraska? If we play to our potential then sure why not? But until we can play a full four quarters of football and put teams away when we have them down we'll be right where we are today. How many times have we been in the situation where we HAVE to make a play only to see us bumble it. Not sure if that is players, coaching or both.
