NFL: Would Shanahan go after Cutler?

I know he has a big contract in Chicago but the Skins could use a QB and the Bears could use some draft picks. There will be a few good QBs in the draft.
 
I say probably not, if only because trade like that don't happen that often and it already happened once with Cutler.

Also, if I was a Bear fan, I'd be nervous of them trading current players for picks. They don't seem to have a good track record with drafts.
 
not a chance. The Bears would need to get at least a 1st and a 2nd for him, in order to partially recoup what they gave up, and there is no way that any team would part with that much for a QB coming off of a 26 pick year.

The skins have a better chance of signing Peyton Manning away from the Colts, than they do of acquiring Cutler this offseason.
 
Lovie Smith either wins next year or he loses his job. They're not going to trade away their quarterback.
 
I would not be happy as a Bears fan if they did this. I think Cutler will be fine once he can throw to someone besides a bunch of 1st/2nd year backups. I say they go after Marshall since McDaniels seems set on driving him out of Denver.
