No, the Omaha World Herald would not let me celebrate the great victory of my, (our), Iowa State Cyclones for even a 24 hour period. It took four "mastermind" columnist of that husker riddled piece of parchment to put together the list of teams to be included in the so-called super conferences. The list and accompanied article was included in today's Sunday paper.
And in their infinite wisdom - I'm sure they know infinitely more than the rest of us - they have excluded three curent BCS teams from the list of "super conference" teams: Baylor, Miami, and yes, the Iowa Sate Cyclones.
Those three schools are to be relegated to a minor Conference USA status in the opinion of these no it all Herald writers. Now, believe me, I take their speculation with more than one grain of salt, but dammit - couldn't they have at least let Cyclone fans savor Saturday's great 3 overtime over the Hawks for the remainder of the weekend, without rubbing ISU's face in conference realignment dung yet once again?
God, those creeps really pi$$ me off! They will definitely hear from me when ISU ends up proudly and firmly standing on their AAU/BCS feet at the end of this lousy, stinking saga known as conference realignment. And I firmly believe that Iowa State will end up on firm ground when this is all over - if indeed it ever ends!
