watching him tonight .. still average at best. if you are that good you and your team don't get blown out in the championship game.

calling it like I see it. 7 footer with little presence. slow and not quick to the ball. anyone that thinks he is ready for major college ball is crazy.

He's definitely not a 4 or 5 star. If standing down low is his job (which it probably is with his height) he should probably be grabbing rebounds, but he's literally getting dominated down low by guys much smaller than him. And I realize he's 7'1" but he shouldn't be winded after just 2 minutes of playing.

He's nowhere near physically ready to play in the paint in the Big Ten. I think he could be a guy who is solid his junior/senior years but he's going to take his share of lumps next year. Hawk fans who think he's going to be a difference maker right away are delusional

Not man bigs are "ready" for big ten or big 12 play. He is a project, but he has length, will get stronger and I did like his composure on the court. I think you will see next year being a tough year, year 2 will be average but years 3-4 should be very productive. Needs to develop an outside shot.

Also is a horrible Free Throw shooter.

I've seen him play in AAU ball, and have also seen him play at some of the nation's "elite" camps. There's a reason teams like North Carolina and Ohio State offered him. Iowa's lucky he grew up an Iowa fan.

Whats the reason smart guy? Because he looked like **** hole in the 4A championship game.

7'1", good frame, good touch around the basket, runs the floor pretty well, good passer for a big guy. Probably for those reasons.

If he wasn't ranked so high I don't think people would bash him this much. I think he is decent but I don't think he is going to be that big of a threat. Way too slow to be a good shot blocker. I'll take Royce White at the line before I take Woodbury. The only positive I can take from watching him the last two games is he has decent touch. He has a ways to go. He will need a good guard that can penetrate and dish to him.

He'll be fine.

For any hawk fan thinking he is going to be Cody Zeller, they are going to be disappointed. But by the time he gets stronger, and tougher, he will be a solid solid player for them.

Now, after watching the state tourney games, I was a little put off by how soft he played. But, that is what you have strength coaches for...By the time he is a junior, he will be very effective.

I will say that the fox conference is a much better fit for him in terms of style of play than a Big 12 or Big East..

You do realize that Marcus Paige got blown out by the same IC West team in the semis, right? By 20, not 15. But I suppose Paige is overrated and won't make it at UNC, either

Also I should let you know AAU teams don't play defense.

If this is the case, then why didn't the nation's top center prospects (the ones even more talented) dominate more than Woodbury? What Woodbury faces for defense in high school isn't the same as college. He's not going to have 3 guys draped all over him. That's not to say college will be easier (it won't be), but it will be different.

paige also scored 24 to woodburys 16, had 5 boards and 5 steels. and I didn't see 3 guys draped on him last night. just a 6'6" baty gaddy doing a serviceable job keeping him out of the paint.
