WNBA TV Ratings Double Last Year

I like how they talk up that it increased but intentionally neglect to mention the actual numbers of viewers/sales. Going from selling 10 jerseys to 20 is a doubling, after all.
 
It feels like the WNBA is getting smarter about tapping into the stronger fanbase for the college game. Putting a franchise in Connecticut seems like a smart move. Minnesota has seen a surge in fan interest that probably has as much to do with bringing Gophers stars back to the state as it does with their title. I'm sure highlighting new rookies every year is annoying for the vets, but you can't argue with it business-wise.

I wonder why relocating a team to Nashville and trying to lure some former Lady Vols doesn't get floated out more as a possibility.
