Wizards Win Draft Lottery

I'm more impressed with the Timberpups once again dropping a few spots in the lottery. Every...single...year....I was sorta building up hope that we'd get the #1 spot and be able to just play all PGs when/if Rubio ever shows up.

Evan Turner is going to be VERY good, but the Wiz have to pick John Wall. No brainer here.

Thing is, I wouldn't say its a no brainer. If (and this is a HUUUUUUGE if) Gilbert Arenas comes back, and they know he will and want him back by draft day, I would not be surprised if the Wiz took Evan Turner. Arenas is a great guard, can bring it up on his own, while Evan Turner fills the role of a superstar 3 position for years to come.

Timberwolves stay at 4 and pick Welsey Johnson?

Yeah, I would think so. It seems to be one position the T-Wolves have been missing as of late. Corey Brewer at the 2, Al J at 4, Kevin Love playing 4-5 hybrid, Jonny Flynn at 1... Wesley would fill in nice at the 3 role for them.

I would take Kwame Brown..no brainer

The Wiz want Arenas gone. His contract is going to make him next to impossible to trade straight up, but the Wiz are content with picking up part of his salary as long as they can get him out of Washington. Plus, Arenas has knee troubles and isn't getting any younger. I love Evan Turner, but Wall is the pick. Even if Washington can't trade Arenas, they'll still go with Wall and move Arenas to a more natural 2-guard spot for him while continuing to shop him.

I think there is a good chance Wes Johnson goes #4 to the T-Wolves. He fits a need and I definately think he won't go any lower than #6 to the Warriors who he'd fit well with too.

Its anyone's guess where Craig goes at this point. I'm thinking early 2nd round probably, I think he REALLY hurt his draft stock coming back last season and he's going to need some impressive workouts to get back into the 1st round at this point. He's not a banger in the post so that is going to limit the kind of systems he'd fit in with.

I for one think that the wiz will trade down because they can gain more out of trading down because thats the one thing they do have a lot of and that is guards. I think they would benefit most from sadly drafting Wesley Johnson. plus gaining another Pick or 2 if you trade down.

This year's draft will kind of make me yawn. Personally I'd choose Favors, then Monroe if I was in a position to do so.

You cant really listen to these Mock draft people, they are not the managers, owners or coaches of these NBA franchises. Take the NFL draft this year, they all said that Tim tebow would go in the late 3rd round, nope he was drafted first round. You cant really listen to them, i think Craig will go late first round.
