No Wimbledon thread? Huge upset today with Nadal going down.

Who is going to win it this year?

Wimbledon is the bomb.

Losing a 5th set like that under the no tiebreaker rule has to be heartbreaking.

Not nearly as heartbreaking as this one though, ouch!

BTW I love playing on grass. Only had the opportunity a few times but it's so different.

I've played on clay once before but I was using some old shotty borrowed racket. Seems like it would be fun though.

Wow, that is a surprise. That fifth set must have been epic.

I was wondering how that turned out. I caught the first couple sets before I had to leave the house. Nadal got worked over in the first set but he seemed like he was finding his legs a bit in the second set. It's crazy how you can see the confidence come and go in the players' facial expressions and body language. Even the really stoic ones, you can tell when they're just not feeling it or when they're starting to get into a good rhythm.

Venus Williams won in straight sets today to advance to the semifinals. I think the announcers said that at 37 she's the oldest woman to reach the semis in 23 years.

It's awesome to watch. She's beating opponents who weren't even born when she made her first Wimbledon appearance.

I beat my kids at stuff all the time and they weren't born when I first played. ;)

When's the last time an American was in the Semi-final at Wimbledon? Had to be Roddick. '09? I think he made the Final there and had that heart-breaker to Fed.

Kudos to Querrey.

Well actually Serena won the women's final last year and Serena and Venus won the women's doubles last year.
