That was an excellent podcast. I have a follow-up question. Did ESPN or Fox pay any pro rata for the new additions? If so, how much?

Two thoughts:

Chili is so much better without beans - if your chili has any flavor at all then they're just filler.

Skyline Chili is unquestionably a bigger brand than Real Chili. I've spent most of my life living in Wisconsin and never heard of Real Chili until this podcast but have associated Skyline with Cincy for as long as I can remember.

Ok, carry on.

Without beans it's just meat sauce. Never understood that.

CW's characterization of adding Gonzage as being "imminent" is certainly different from JP's description of the matter on the Coaches Corner show earlier this week. JP expressed enough hesitation with the add to the point where I think ISU would vote no on it at this point and rightly so. Adding them now without the MBB TV contract being split off is about as senseless as the ACC adding Calford for partial revenue shares and SMU with zero shares.

And I am assuming that the chatter with Gonzaga and potentially UConn as well is directly related to the ongoing negotiations between the Big East and Fox to extend the the Big East MBB deal and the possibility of Gonzaga joining them. Potential tug of war between ESPN and Fox for Gonzaga's rights, at a minimum.

I like chili with and without beans. Depending on the beans, that can be a really healthy part of the meal.
