Will We Be Better Next Year?

So do you think we will improve as a team next year. Will we win 1-3 games, 4-5 games? or more? I want to look forward and forget the sodomy that occurred this football season on the cyclones
Could recruits like Lazard, Mister, and Wesley help turn this program around?

I don't think we will be able to beat Kansas this year. Its time for this season to end and Hoiball to start. I'm hungry for leaving the parking lot with a win
 
Don't forget Campos and Curtis, still in the hunt for Jeff Jones too. CPR's recruiting initially sucked, which is why we're at this low. It's been steadily improving and he has a chance for 2014 to be his best class yet. I think we're going to go on an upward trend after this.
 
I can't see Lazard playing much at all.

We'll suck next year just as bad as this year, I'm sure.

Mister doesn't look any better than what we have right now. Actually, probably worse than what we have.

How can you get any worse than 1 win over a very ****** team? Yes, we will be better, but how much depends on who they hire as OC.

I can't believe how Cyclone fans continue to say "it can't get any worse" when it can ALWAYS get worse.

Anyway, I've read that a teams performance over the last 5 games has a high correlation with their performance the following year. There is still an opportunity to get better against the second half of our schedule, which will be significantly easier than the first half.

Lazard will play a bunch unless he's not in Ames. He's at least as physically talented as Bundrage right now, and Bundrage is proving to be a talented WR. I'm not sure we're going to be a better team next year, but Lazard will see the field a ton.
 
The team should be better next year. What it will take is a little better luck on health and some improvement from the young players getting embarrassed in game this year. For the day ISU was playing without 3 or 4 of their best OL, one of their best LBers, the starting QB and 2 of the best offensive players with West and Wimberly.

probably more disappointed in the defense than anything, as when the game was still in reach and ISU took the wind in the 3rd quarter and OSU just ran over them.
 
Well I guess it should improve based on the sole fact we most likely won't be playing Tulsa.

All I hope is that for:

Defense-Learn to tackle
Offense-Don't go 3 and out every damn drive.

Is that too much to ask for?

Depends on how many JUCOs we get and if they are actually good that other schools actually wanted. Then who our coordinators are. I have a hard time seeing Wally wanting to return to coach a rebuilding D that was already horrible (there is no talent in the pipelines).
 
I do not see us much better. The B12 will improve just as much as us. Thank god we beat tulsa.
 
I think the offense will be about the same and the defense will be worse. Teams will just run the ball all over iowa state next season too.
