I will preface this by saying you can rip me all you want, because lets be honest this is a message board and I have enough self confidence I don't care lol

Alright so I am a graduating senior who hasn't known anything, but ISU for as long as I can remember. Why starting next year with the real world should I give a **** about Iowa State anything. I will be a full-time employee and getting my masters from a different school. I will give that academically Iowa State gave me this opportunity, but why should I continue to support ISU athletics. This year I bought tickets to every game and I'm tempted to give away my Oklahoma, Texas, and Colorado tickets.

Now rip me for not being a real fan or whatever you feel like doing, hell the moderators can ban me if you really feel like it, but Utah is not that much better than us and we still got our ***e$ beat like we were a 12 year caught with playboy.

So please tell me why I should go 50/50 with my father on tickets and parking?

maybe you shouldn't. That's the nice thing about being a consumer - it's your choice.

I choose not to by tickets either...... then again I live about 1000 miles from Jack Trice

Alright so I am a graduating senior who hasn't known anything, but ISU for as long as I can remember. Why starting next year with the real world should I give a $7!4 about Iowa State anything. I will be a full-time employee and getting my masters from a different school. I will give that academically Iowa State gave me this opportunity, but why should I continue to support ISU athletics. I think I'll rip on you for punctuation. The comma, if one belongs in that sentence at all, belongs after the word 'Alright'.

You shouldn't.

Utah isn't that much better than us my ***. They are physically superior in every position including RB.

Are you looking for people to just stroke your ego? If you don't get any enjoyment from going to ISU games, then don't buy tickets. Isn't being a consumer great?

Touche, I should have had a comma after alright. However, there should always be a comma used in conjunction with the word "but."

Because first you don't even know who we are playing the rest of our home games against. Oklahoma, Texas and Colorado are ROAD games. Nebraska, Missouri and Kansas are HOME games. I support ISU because they are my alma mater. They were AWFUL when I went to ISU. AND if you don't think Utah is not much better than us, you are blind.

But if you don't stick around, then you will miss something special. This is just the beginning. We are still in the infancy of the Paul Rhoades era. We are not ready to beat the big boys YET. But something special is brewing. I can feel it. I will be there to see it.

The more time I spend coaching, the more I understand that you can only play with what you have. Last week the coaches got the most out of the players that they could. Utah was able to shut us down and find our weaknesses. I will continue to support ISU athletics because I choose to do so. Why should you? We have great coaches in multiple sports that are doing the best they can. If that isn't a good enough reason, then support another institution. Those are my 2 cents.

If you use but as a conjunction, it needs a comma. You used it as a preposition as a synonym of except, therefore you do not need a comma.

If you are at the game tonight why are you posting from your phone? Don't buy a ticket again and when the team plays in bowl games or in the NCAA's, please don't tell everyone how you are a proud alum.

We are simply not talented enough to hang with a top ten team. See Iowa and Utah. The B12 is fairly weak this year, so don't give up yet. I'd take 6 wins in a weak B12 right now.

I don't think that's out of the question yet. Just my opinion.

I quit caring when I heard you say Utah isn't much better than us. Utah is far and away better. I wasn't buying into the huge hype after Texas Tech. I wasn't buying into the "their offense isn't as good as the numbers indicate" crap. This was a loss in my eyes to start the season and that never wavered. As long as we can take care of business against KU and CU and slip past MU, this is still an extremely successful season.

I was in your situation. My senior year was 94-95. I had season tickets for the 1994 football season. The season we went 0-10-1. I'll never forget that.

honestly, i could give you a disertation (sp?) on how I thought the same thing many times before, but how I continue to ge a die hard, etc. but, I won't, because I really don't care about your likes/dislikes, or any part of your situation. do whatever the hell you want - its a free country. go be a bandwagon fan of another program - nobody cares.

By the looks of the final score the Utes may have had a chip on their shoulder.
