NBA: Why does no one talk about Blake's assists?

Really, unless it's a milestone for assists, steals, three pointers...no one pays attention. Points and rebounding are the two most looked at stats in the NBA. Everything else is blegh.
 
They do talk about it. They talk about how he has really improved his passing. They talk about how he leads the league among PFs and Centers in assists. And they definitely show his lobs to DeAndre.

SportsCenter and other highlight shows don't go out of their way to mention it, but it is mentioned nearly every Clippers game, usually shortly after he makes a great pass.
