I picked the Spurs in 6, purely because I am a Heat hater. I am not even a fan of the Spurs at all. Just dislike the Heat that much. And I like Tim Duncan so I would'nt mind see him winning another Championship.

I think the spurs are the perfect team to beat the heat. I think Duncan will score/rebound at will and Tony parker will do whatever he wants offensively. The Heat have troulbe with traditional bigs that can play inside and that is pretty much what the spurs can do. They can also easily spread it out with good 3 point shooters and dribble drive kickouts.

I picked spurs in 7 because obviously the heat are a very hard out. I expect wade to miss at least a game or significant minutes in the series.

I want the Spurs to win (never thought i'd say that), but see the Heat winning. LJ is too good.

The Spurs should win. If the Pacers gave the Heat that many problems and exposed them, then the Spurs should win this series.

The Spurs frontcourt reminds me more of Chicago's than Indiana's. The Spurs aren't getting 20 a game from Splitter like the Pacers got with Hibbert. The Spurs rotation actually sets up pretty good for Miami. Miami can bring in Battier (who couldn't handle David West) when the Spurs bring in Bonner.

Some things I'm curious to see in this series:

I wonder how effective LeBron will be at guarding Parker in crunch time?

I don't think Miami can trap the Spurs as much because they're such great passers/shooters. What style of defense do they play?

Is Shane Battier really dead, just nobody has said anything Weekend at Bernies style?

Can Leonard guard LeBron?

Who plays better between Manu and Wade?

Who shoots better: Cole/Chalmers/Allen/Battier or Green/Bonner/Neal/Leonard

2 teams that I really dislike. However, I dislike the Spurs more than the Heat. So I shall root for the heat, plus I like watching Lebron.

Heat in 7

Spurs don't match up as well as the Pacers did. The Pacers were the team I was worried about the most as a Heat fan because they are just a matchup nightmare for Miami. As Zach Spears said last night, Heat in 3. But really, I'll take Miami in 6.

LeBron said he's going to spend some time guarding Duncan. Lol, ok lebron.

He probably will. If the Heat go to their really small lineup (ie: with some combo of 3 guards and a center) he'd have to guard Duncan. James is plenty big enough to guard Duncan if that's what you're laughing at (he guarded David West at times last series) If I were Spoelstra I wouldn't want to to spend a lot of time doing it because it would wear him out but he could certainly do it for a few minutes a game.

I'd guess that James will be spending most of his time on Leonard.

The Spurs have the big guys to get the Heat on their heels, but they also have what the Pacers lacked... shooters and experience. If the Pacers can take the Heat to 7, then the Spurs can do it in 4. Now you have to put in the LeBron factor, so it'll go further than 4 games.

Right, i gues I poorly worded that, what I was laughing at is Lebron trying to stop the GOAT.

This. I'm not understanding the people saying the Spurs don't match up as well with the Heat like the Pacers did. The Spurs have everything you need on a team. Like I already said, If the Pacers can give the Heat fits then the Spurs should take this series. The Pacers exposed the hell out of Miami and the Spurs will use that.

Hibbert was a matchup nightmare with his size and strength against Miami. Who on San Antonio's roster even compares? No one. San Antonio is a MUCH better matchup for Miami than Indiana was.

Miami wasn't exposed. Everyone knows their interior defense leaves a lot to be desired against bigger, stronger teams. They just happened to be able to expose the Pacers just enough to escape.

The Spurs only clear advantage is on the bench in Pop. The players on the court (as a whole) is Miami and it isn't even that close as long as Bosh removes his head from his ***.

Chalmers <<< Parker
Wade >> Green
James >>>>>>> Leonard
Duncan > Bosh (with head still up ***, Duncan is WAY better..with head removed it's about a push)
Splitter > Haslem
Ginobili <> Allen

The Heat took the season series 2-0 and I think the second game was against Bosh + Miami's bench.

If they were exposed it's that the Big 3 is kind of a myth. Bosh didn't look like an all star, let along some Big 3 hall of famer type. Ditto for Wade except for last night. Any objective viewer of the series would have drafted LeBron first by a mile and then clearly three Pacers in a row to start a team. How is that "the Big 3"? That said motivated LeBron at this point in his career and a cast of good to great role players should be favored to win any series.
