Based on this from Brett Blum.....

If Kansas defeats West Virginia (and they did), loses to Oklahoma, Iowa State defeats TCU, Baylor defeats Texas Tech, West Virginia defeats Oklahoma State at home.... Iowa State grabs the two-seed, Oklahoma the three-seed, Baylor the four-seed.

My question is how does it work that we get the 2 seed? In the above scenario ISU & OU would be tied at 12-6 in the conference and Baylor and WV tied at 11-7. Since there is a tie between Baylor and WV, does the tie breaker then drop down to the next team in line? OK State?

Love this time of year but oh so confusing!

Yes. ISU and OU would both have a 2-2 record against Baylor and WV, who both tied for 4th. So it drops down to the six spot, and OSU, Texas and KSU all tied. ISU is 5-1 vs those teams, and OU is 4-2.

Since OU and ISU both have 2-2 records against Baylor/WVU, it would drop down to the next team, which would be some combination of Texas, OSU and KSU. OU and ISU both swept Texas and OSU, so it would come down to record against KSU. We split with KSU and OU lost both to KSU.

Got it! Thank you! Then it appears that all we need to do is win and we're the 2 seed!! Thanks again!

Who is this Brett guy and where can I meet him? Sounds legit.

does anyone know where you can find the 'most ranked teams beat by team'? I assume we are still at or near the top. assuming we could get a couple more next weekend and maybe more in the NCAA, possible breaking records here

thanks.
I was kind of looking for something like this, but updated. I think we only have one more since this however.

No. If OU, Baylor, ISU, and OSU win we'll be the 3 seed. Baylor would be the lone #4 team and OU has a better record than we do against them.

If ISU wins, they would need either KU to beat OU or WVU to beat OSU to be the two seed. If OSU and OU both win this weekend, ISU is the 3 seed unless Tech beats Baylor.
