I've always used Progressive but they recently informed me that they no longer insure converted buses. I've tried state farm, geico, safe auto, the general... NOBODY will insure a converted bus. Help?

I know GMAC is the largest insurer of RV's so they might do tailgating buses. I am currently with Allied on my motorhome but I don't know what they will do on converted buses.

We just got a rig this year...It's a really old RV with bench seating in the back and we use progressive. A converted bus? Can't believe Progressive wouldn't take this on anymore, they will cover ANYTHING.

Did you let your insurance expire? You wouldn't think they would just stop covering it just out of blue?

I talked to 3 people at Progressive - they all said they've changed their policies and no longer offer insurance on converted buses.

Thanks for the help everybody. Hope to see you all next Saturday.

Maybe they thought you actually were DJK and cancelled due to his extensive criminal record.

I'd talk to Brad Banks, Fred Russell or Mike Klinkenborg. They are probably selling insurance about now. Either that or pharma.

Most preferred carriers will not insure converted buses. It's due to liability concerns.

Think about it. What most converted buses used for? Partying, tailgating, etc. All tend to coincide with alcohol use. Large group of people + alcohol + large vehicle = huge payout if/when something bad happens. A company is not going to risk a huge payout at a premium of $250.00 a year.

Good luck!
