Had this discussion today and was curious what everyone thought.

Tied game with 20 seconds to go. Who do we give it to for the win?

I would be okay with any of those three taking it but who's hands do you want the ball in crunch time?

DJ is the only one we know at this point who has shown clutch shooting. KU last year and in S. Carolina this season. I think he does it again vs. UNI.

Easy, Babb. Only ISU player that can reliably create for himself and find the open guy if he doesn’t have a good shot (every final possession play should have multiple options). Babb may not take the last shot, but he is most likely to make the best basketball play.

The question is who do you want to take the last shot.

I certainly agree that the ball needs to be in Babb's hands prior to the last shot, but I voted for Jackson because he is the one I want taking that SHOT. Honestly, with the ball in Babb's hands I feel confident that it will end up with the right person more often than not, weather that is Wigginton, a wide-open Lard dunk, a red hot Hans, or even himself if it's there. But Jackson is just deadly when it counts.

We haven't seen enough of Wigginton in that situation yet though. He may turn out to be a nice closer yet this season. Like I said, I'm OK with any of them as long as they work to get a quality shot.

Tied game made me vote Babb and run the offense. Others said dish to Jackson or Lard, whoever just let Babb do his thing.

Down by 1, my first thought was I want Wigginton to drive and try to get fouled.

I don't know why it's different to me.

Donovan. Seems like he has a knack for hitting big shots. I get more nervous when he shoots a wide open 3 than a buzzer beater with a hand in his face.

With twenty seconds left on the clock I want NWB to have the ball. I trust him to make the right play. Now in a different scenario - like say inbounding from half court in a tie game with a few seconds left - I want DJ to be the primary option. He's probably their best catch and shoot guy, and he's shown a knack for embracing the big moments. Down two or tied and needing to go the length of the floor with ten to go? Give it to LW and let him turn on the jets.

IMO it would depend if were down 1,2,or 3.

Down 1 or 2... give me Lindell on a 15 ft jumper.

Down 2 or 3.. give me Jackson for a corner 3.

Frankly, I want Prohm to mix it up. If you have one go to guy and you call his number chances are the other team knows it and they are going to try to take your first option away which results in your players having to improvise. If the other team knows you have called different players' numbers in these situations they have to really play it straight up and they lose any advantage.

Feed it into Solomon Young. I love his positioning, footwork, and strength with the ball underneath.

And if anyone else takes the shot, then his rebound put-back will actually be the last shot!
