Not just drafted but also free agent signings?

Here are my thoughts...

Offense
Brant
Blythe
Nickel (if he tests well)
Stephenson
Kock
Meyer (almost forgot him)

Defense
Curvey
McKenzie
Deandre Jackson
Bowen?

Am I being too optomistic? Am I forgetting anybody?

Offense:
Blythe
Meyer
Stephenson
Hicks- (depending on what happens this year I think he could get some looks through free agency... but if he has a repeat fo last year... then he might be joining Ricky Williams in the CFL)

Defense:
D Jack
Curvey

Possibly Mckenzie but right now he is just hype... he hasn't played one game for us yet so let's not get carried away with him.

I can't get over this. It seems that not 7 or 8 years we would have been lucky to have 1 player that could maybe go to the NFL. Now we are talking about several on both sides of the ball. With a team like this we better make some noise this year! ::)

I agree. I don't think everyone on my list will end up on an NFL squad, but they all should have a shot.

The ones I think will get drafted (provided they continue to improve):

Blythe
Meyer
Jackson
Curvey

He was on my first list and i think that he will get signed but not drafted, and fullback is kind of a disappearing position in the NFL.

I think throwing Meyer in that list is being overly optimistic. A great quarterback in our system. But he is labeled a dual threat quarterback and they aren't very popular in the NFL. Even the greatest dual threat qb's have troubles being drafted.

i know we havent seen him play really, but what about McKenzie? He still has 3 years to play. I also think Stevenson will get drafted too. Noy many ISU players make 1st team all big xii as a junior.

Meyer
Blythe
maybe Stevie Hicks if he is healthy
Kock if he has another year like last year
Stephenson
Hopefully Brant he had so much talent but hasnt done much
Curvey
Jackson

Does anybody think Moorehead has a shot? He's shown improvement each year and will probably be even bigger/stronger next season. He's 6'4" 250 lbs. right now - about the same as Hayward when he went to the League. If nothing else, he should be a look as a free agent…

I'm assuming that he will continue to improve for two more years. I think the dual threat tag is inappropriate for him. I think that he is just a very mobile pocket quarterback.

Both of those guys were on my lists. I think stephenson will have trouble getting drafted due to all of the injuries/surgeries.

He could. I thought about mentioning him. He would probably be pretty good at special teams in the NFL. I think that if he starts wracking up the sacks and tfl's then he might have a shot.

I don't see anyone that you are forgetting based on what we have seen to date. The one I am skeptical about in your list is Brant. Brant has been one of the bigger disappointments to me in our 0line. I am not saying he isn't good, just not as good as the expectations and not all big 12 caliber nor do I believe NFL caliber. We really need to get an oline tradition going.
