He's a redshirt freshman.
I agree, if a player is going to be special, he should do more than just play special teams as a frosh. Sincerely, AJ and JakeIt's completely reasonable for a RS freshman to play like he has -- in fact, it's a great sign he's getting PT with the experience at WR. However, I do admit that I hoped for more. If he was going to be an all-B12 type WR, I think he most likely would've shown it by now.
Tough to say he hasn't shown much when the ball has rarely, if ever, been thrown at him. Our WR's are needed for blocked just as much as pass catching so that needs to be evaluated as well. If he is option #3 or 4 on plays, we rarely have time to hit those so it would make sense that he hasn't had a chance to produce.
Because LBs are the same as skilled position players. Wait, they aren't. Look at the best receivers the Big12 has produced lately. They all were producing monster numbers as sophomores. Is Bundrage going to do that? Likely not, so I am going to say he won't be the next Dez Bryant, Blackmon, or Crabtree.I agree, if a player is going to be special, he should do more than just play special teams as a frosh. No knock on him, but he was not the most highly valued player coming out of HS, and is showing limitations. Jantz threw a couple his way early in the season, and he didn't really show great ability tracking the ball down the seam or separating from the defender.
