When do you guys think Rhoads will name his OC and DC? Right now im so stoked to hear his decisions and im just curious to know a timeframe to when he may decide. I can say that i really hope Willis comes in as our DC

And since we were at a unfair disadvantage, having Chizik as coach, the NCAA has given us special permission to play in a bowl- so he's first game is this Christmas.:jimlad:

Bowl games may very well conflict with him getting the coaches committed. Cotlar interviewed Rhoads this morning and asked about the timeline to get his staff in place. Rhoads said he'd like his staff organized by Jan 5 (which I believe is when the dead period ends???)

The hire really comes with great timing, as he can use this time to assemble a staff, and if he is able to by Jan 5, we'll be in great shape. I personally can't wait to hear the selections, but Jan 5 isn't too far away.

I agree, getting the Head Coach right as the dead period began works out well. Since contact with recruits goes away during this period he can work diligently on bringing in his staff and getting his gameplan ready for bringing in some recruits after the dead period ends.
I think I heard Jon Miller say this on his show one day, but coaching searches should happen every year. That's not to say I want a new coach every year, but they are fun to analyze, dream, track, etc...
I can't wait to hear who Rhoads decides upon for his staff. Here's hoping it's better than Chizik's staff.
