Most likely will be 0-6 after tomorrow. The ISU wrestling faithful are getting restless.

Wait, you guys are right I am perfectly content with losing to Army, Boston University and Old Dominion.

Go Clones.

It is embarrassing. One of the best things to happen to ISU (Cael) is also the reason for the wordy few years of wrestling ever. Cael leaving essentially eliminated two years of recruiting. I can't fault Jackson for that. It will take time to child depth and get solid guys at each weight. However, given the talent that came this year and that is coming next year, there HAS to be improvement on the mat. Otherwise...

Just copy and paste that right up in the thread title. If this is going to be a "thing", you might as well make it official.

I hate wrestling. However blame cael sanderson oj this on. Can you imagine if cpr left and took the best football players on the team with him. It would devistate the football program the same way it has wrestling. From what I have heard about wrestling we have a great future due to good recriiting. I say give him some time.

Or when are people going to realize the guys a troll. Go look at his post history, he does this same gig for other sports in his 12 total posts on here.

And what is your proposal to fix this? Unless you have a magic way to heal injuries I am not sure what you expect the staff to do.

Good to see there are some sensible fans. It is frustrating but KJ deserves some time. It is unfortunate there is a toxic faction of wrestling supporters on the internet that are determined to take KJ and the program down.

My impression last year was that it was a down year and that next year (now this year) would be better. Now it looks like the next year talk is starting strong. As a Cubs fan, I'm used to this...

I'm a casual wrestling fan (i.e., I enjoy going to matches, but still need to sit near someone who knows what's going on to understand the matches) and I haven't ever followed recruiting/roster/injuries/etc. closely, so if the answer is obvious I apologize in advance. But here's my question: With the talk of next year starting up again, will this year be the last one on which we can blame recruiting losses/rebuilding issues for a poor record (note that posts during last season made it seem to me as if last season would be the end of that excuse and we'd be moving on this season)?

I've heard this, but it seems ridiculous that a program that is winning national championships and ranked first would even care about ISU right now. Any truth to the trolls being Mr. Alger? I know he has a personal beef with Jackson, and Royce is a "unique" guy, but I just can't imagine someone going to such lengths to tear down a man and program.

Gotta love "smart" phones.

We all knew that the first two or so years would be hard given us graduating a lot of talent, Cael taking the recruits and wrestlers to Penn State. The injuries were unexpected, so that's what's creating the talk of "next year" right now. That was unforeseen. I understand where you're coming from with this, but look at it this way. If, when Floyd left, he took all of his recruits, and then we were hampered with injuries during Eustachy's second year, and had no depth (so that the problem was with who's playing/left to play vs. coaching), should people be calling for his head at that time?

You could argue both ways, but a coach isn't a miracle worker. They work with what they have, and when they have nothing there, and then everyone gets hurt, there's no coaching fault there. That's a "we're hurting because we got gaped" situation.
