Again, I still think this whole topic is blown out of proportion. Wood has blown 4 saves and of that 2 of them they still won. He's not Gagne or Isringhausen who can't throw strikes. Wood has walked just 5 guys in 26 2/3 innings while Gagne walked 16 in 19 1/3 and Izzy 10 in 18 innings.
Of all the MLB saves leaders, just Percival (4) Papelbon (2) and Lyon (2) have walked less batters than Woody has and his opponent batting average is .185 which lower than several of the saves leaders as well. I'm fine leaving Wood as closer, he has not been close to the weak link right now, I think the #4 and 5 starters are a much better concern as well as the outfield situation with Soriano's defensive lapses and lack of production out of the CF at the plate.
