Me and a few buddies are making the trip down to KC this weekend. We're staying over on Saturday night and are looking for something to do after the football game.

We're all under 21, so some ideas other than the bars would be awesome!

Any Ideas?????

Head out to Cabelas by the Speedway and look at all the rednecks in town for the race. Go to Oklahoma Joes for some kick-*** BBQ.

There's a bowling alley in the Power and Light district. Lucky Strikes or something like that. Kinda of a nightclub/bowling alley. Don't know the admission policy about under 21, but maybe something to consider.

See if you can find one of these guys. They both know guys that can get you fake ID's.

Here are a couple things...

Sadlers Indoor Racing - Indoor NASCART racing. They are really fast but a little $$.

www.daveandbusters.com - Fun restaurant/arcade, but you will have to brave the Village West area out by the speedway to get there!

Lucky Strike Lanes - This is fun, but it is 21+ after 8:00 pm so plan accordingly.

PowerPlay Family Entertainment Center, Whirlyball, Cosmic Bowling, Arcade, Incredible Buffet - THis is a "fun center" but is mostly an arcade. Probably has a generally young crowd, (Jr. high and HS mostly). I would recomend Dave & Busters instead.

The only under 21 club I know of is in Olathe. It used to be called Orlando's, but I think it is called Radius now. The address is 126 S Clairborne Rd Olathe, KS 66062 but I'm not sure they have a website. I think they are 18+ to get in and 21+ to drink. I haven't been there, but it's the only "under 21" club I know of.

There are tons of great restaurants of all kinds, just ask about a food type and us locals can make some suggestions.

If you want a real BBQ experience go to Arthur Bryant's. The original location is not in the greatest neighborhood but definitely worth the trip.

Since youre and ISU fan, I assume you also like college basketball and I would put my endorsement to checking out the College Basketball Experience (its connected to the Sprint Center) Tons of really cool exhibits and everything is hands on.

College Basketball Experience

I did just notice that it closes at 6, so maybe it would be a sunday morning stop for you

Under 21 in KC? Best bet is head to Lawrence. I grew up in KC and under 21 there is little to do except try and get in some places. The race and American Royal BBQ is going on as well, so you could give those a shot. The American Royal will be a good time for all, it is a national BBQ competition that one of your fellow cyclonefanatics is participating in.

I'm a similar predicament as you. All I know is I'm staying out in Topeka Kansas, because thats all I could find in the area and plan on going to Lawerence on saturday night to see whats going on.

I have lived here 20 years in between my five years at State, and don't know of a single 18+ bar. Lawrence on the other hand has alot. Topeka is like an hour and half out of KC so that is really far away from Arrowhead Stadium, but only about 30 minutes out of Lawrence.

TOPEKA??? Why on earth would you stay in Topeka? There are tons of closer hotels than that, I just checked...
