Iowa State defensive coordinator Jon Heacock believes Theo Day will play in the NFL in the future.

Rob Gray breaks down what the program's defense will go up against facing the talented quarterback for the first time:

adroitly - in a clever or skillful way.
Not a word often seen in sports columns. I still believe offensive efficiency is the key Saturday as well as for the season. A guy like Day will make some plays. We just have to make plays also. And if we don't continually give UNI the ball in great field position, that will help also.

Its not like ISU hasn't seen quality quarterbacks in the Big 12 before. If Day was so great why did he have to leave MSU and transfer to UNI. You'd think he'd at least go to another P5 program. The kid could be good but he's not the second coming of Mahomes like some UNI fans would like you to believe.
Well Mahomes did lose 66-10 vs ISU.

People are hoping for an adroit comment from you about Theo Day.
Ahh, well anyone that loses out a job to rocky lombardi can’t be that good. It’s possible a hidden gem got missed during the coaching change but there is a reason he didn’t go to a power 5 program. I know UNI is kinda like the boogieman here but you’re defense should be able to shut them down

Who knows. Sometimes QBs get better with age. There was nothing in his college career to suggest Tom Brady would go down as the GOAT.

Brady was very good. Michigan was enamored with top recruit Drew Henson and continually was given opportunities despite Brady’s successes. Question is, where is Drew Henson now?

You'd think the ISU O line wouldn't get pushed around by UNI either...
