Is Jamie Pollard on their short list to replace him?

I'm not sure if it would be a move up for him but it is in the Big 1025 and JP's roots are in the Big 11025. Indiana is also one of those schools that the media likes and a good basketball history. It is a school sits better than ISU in the national landscape due to the basketball and being in the Big 1252.

If IU were to contact JP...he would listen! Anyone who doesn't think he would listen is simply too biased! Would they contact JP? Not sure...even with all the love on this site for him (much of it earned) the jury is still out on JP.

Agreed, JP has done some good things at ISU, but we have not won at all in any major sport since he has been here. He is not promotable material yet. Gotta give it a few years.

Actually I think I read some where that Jamie did look at IU about the same time as he was looking at us. If memory serves me correctly, he thought the institution was a bit of a basket case with the at time poor football program the fiasco's they've had with basketball in recent years.

I don't think Jamie's going anywhere soon, but if he does we'll find a quality replacement.

In other words he did not get the job, Greenspan did,

I don't think Pollard would leave right now. There's still a lot to do. I could see him leaving for a bigger program in a few years if ISU has success in men's basketball and football, the two sports he's banking on the most.

If/When Jamie Pollard leaves just dont bring back BVD!!!

Yeah I was sick of going to bowl games and having our basketball team in the NCAA Tournmament. I would much rather be 3-9 in football and bestruggling to get to 500 in basketball. But were rebuilding right.

With BVD as A.D. ISU would still be spiraling downward into athletic oblivion right now. BVD left for Pollard what Clinton left for Bush, jackin squat! Not comparing Bush and Pollard at all though, can't stand G-Dub.

The reason were going 500 in basketball right now is because BVD couldn't hire anyone after the larry fiasco and ended up hiring an assistant who had no right coaching in the big 12!

Greenspan is as good as toast, but I don't think IU would target Pollard, and if they did, I don't think he would go. He would leave us for Wisconsin or for a bigger program like Texas or Ohio State, but Indiana? They have nothing except basketball history, and when the NCAA hits them with sanctions, history is all they'll have for a long time.

I never realized Al left the Fed to run things at IU. I think he certainly could give us another 50 bps interest rate cut. Not sure if that would contribute to our pending inflation though.

I read he wasn't involved with Sampson's hire. Kind of like Bruce V. and Larry E here in Ames.

Maybe he'll go, but they have enough problems right now let alone adding looking for a new Athletic Director. My hunch is they'll hang on to him and the litmus test will be how he handles the hire of the new coach.

Still, if the NCAA violations are as serious as indicated in the media, he could still be the fall guy for the University as Sampson was.
