What did they do to the sound system yesterday?

We sit in section 2 and the sound is normally great. The sirens, weather alert, smoke on the water were barely heard, and we couldn't understand/hear the officials at all.
The new system has been so loud and clear up until yesterday...... it sounded worse than the old system.

I hope this was a 1 game adjustment/problem.

The weird thing is our kids in the student section (directly across) said it sounded great to them.

Someone please let the stadium people know it was much worse of our side. Sounded as if the speakers weren't working on the west side.

We sit in section C and it was so quiet I thought someone must have bumped the volume knob(?) and forget to readjust it. I took off my stocking cap and it got a little better but it was way to quiet. PS - does anyone watch the SEZ screen? I can't believe I spent 5 years watching that in college.

I thought it was great the first couple games, and could barely hear it the past couple. Last night I thought they took it one notch past ear-splitting, especially during the intro video. This was in the upperdeck student section.

I'm guessing they angled the speakers differently? I don't know how all that works.

There is a screen in the SEZ? I thought there was a large, electronic impressionist painting. Looks like a blur of colors and motion to me.

I thought the sound was OK on the East side of the stadium, could have been a bit louder, but my hearing is not the best either.

they had the siren cranked way down vs KSU because of the whole storm thing. don't know what was up with the sound last night. siren was good, but other things weren't quite right.

Sounded great in our section on the west side. JP said it is set exactly the way it was for the first game, but wind impacts. With the game result we had, I would leave it alone.

If you want to explore this situation in depth, bid on and win the game auction listed on cyclones.com to sit in the PA booth during the game. It's a good time with good food, good conversation and a great view of the field.

I've sat in the lower deck of the student section every game so far and more often than not I have thought it needed to be louder. Last night on the other hand, I was in the upper deck (student section) and it was louder to me than its been all year

I thought the sound was by far the best it has been all year, from the student section. Also the operation was great too. I'm on the "louder is better" side of things.

It was also awesome when they stopped Gangam Style right before the hook dropped and everyone was ******, but then they dropped it on the next stoppage of play and the whole student section went nuts.

I had the exact same situation, I could hear everything loud and clear last night.

Sounded good in Section 15, but it was my first game all year so it's tough to say

Sec. 18...

Too quiet for the Purple Kitties
Last night was a lot louder and darn near perfect.

I actually made a point of saying so early on in the game last night.

Lower deck of the student section, and the sound was the loudest it's been all year. Loved it!

I sit in section 2 and sound was terrible. Most of the time I had no clue what the PA announcer was saying.

From the student section it was louder than it has ever been. I think it had to do with the wind, or the angle of the speakers. Like i said, i sat in the student section on the very top row, and i couldn't talk to the person next to me they were so loud. Just my 2 cents

I'm also in 18 and thought it was better than past games
