The Rose Bowl is a laugher, OK State pounded Indiana, how bad will OSU get beat by LSU? BTW;How the heck did Arkansas beat LSU? The Razzorbacks were not even close to MU.

As much as I don't care for tOSU, I suspect they will come out much sharper against LSU than they did against Florida last season.

Re: What Big 10 team will get beat the worse?

Iowa is better than Indiana.

???? Indiana beat Iowa.

As much as I hate tOSU, I don't think they will get blown out like Indiana or Illinois did. I still think they will lose though.

What do you mean the Big 10 is struggling?

Didn't you see Purdue pound Central Michigan on a last second field goal?

Re: What Big 10 team will get beat the worse?

Big 10 is worthless...when will the media admit it. At least Wisky gave a good show.

Michigan beat florida just so ya know. I understand that the vast majority of the people here hate the big 10 but still.

Exactly. It was a figment of our imagination per the Hawk fans.:biglaugh:

Re: What Big 10 team will get beat the worse?

I thought Wisconsin played much better than I thought they would as well. I also expect tOSU to play a close one against LSU.

The whole which conference is best argument gets old. All BCS conferences have teams that on any given night could beat each other.

I do not like the Big 10. In fact I despise the Big 10, but it is a BCS conference and there is talent there.

Re: What Big 10 team will get beat the worse?

Speaking of media disillusions, has anyone else seen the BTN commercials saying "This is Iowa. Big Ten Country" I call BS on that one.

I can't believe anyone would be surprised at Wiscy playing well against an SEC opponent. History shows that they have always played well, and for the most part beaten those SEC teams.....Michigan pretty much dominated Florida (the score was not indicative of this). I'd say if OSU defeats LSU, which could easily happen, the bowl season will have been a big success for the Big 10.

I hope that you don't rely on your knowledge of history to earn a living. Howell's historical score web site lists Wisconsin's 1920 - 2006 record against SEC teams as 3-7-1. That can't be considered as playing well even by big 10 standards.

I'm going off of the recent past.....and recently they have done well against the SEC in the bowl games. Now I'm chuckling because I wrote they have always done well....ok I should have inserted recently instead of always....that should make you happy. But seriously, an 86 year stat? You have to be crazy to base your opinions on how they will fare based on a game played in the 1920's. Is that really what you would base your opinions on? The Alvarez/Bielema era's play the same type of football, which has been successfull in these situations.

LSU should beat Ohio St. They should beat them pretty soundly. Having said that, I am concerned that Tressel will out-coach Miles...he has done it before. Additionally, LSU has had a bad habit this year of playing down to their opponent's ability level (with the exception of blasting Va Tech). On the other hand, Miles had his first two LSU teams very ready for their bowl games...a blasting of Miami in the Peach two years ago and a blasting of ND in the Sugar last year. I am hoping to see a blowout!

As for Arkansas...they were playing for Houston Nutt when they beat LSU in triple OT on the day after Thanksgiving. They were also playing to try and win McFadden the Heisman. Yesterday, Arkansas was playing a pissed off Mizzou team (that rightfully should have been pissed at not being in the BCS). They (Arkansas) were playing under the cloud of coaching turmoil and McFadden was playing to just not get hurt prior to the NFL draft.

The problem with trying to blow smoke with bogus claims in a post is that you can end up blinding yourself. Now you want recent rather than history as was originally claimed? How about the last 5 years since it covers anybody still on the team if they red shirted. Wisconsin's bowl record for the past 5 years is 2 wins and 3 losses. Not what I would try to call an excellent record. I'll give them credit for 5 straight appearances, but they get exposed when they face better conferences in the bowls.

The Big Ten overall has a winning record against the SEC in the Bowl games over the last 5 years. I'll ty to dig up the records.

There rarely has been a blow out on either side - Iowa beat Florida by 20 points in 2004, but other than that, I can't think of a blow out. So most of the games have been very close - meaning there isn't a huge disparity in the competition.

I expect the OSU/LSU game to be closer than people think. OSU is not great but, neither is LSU. Plus. OSU is gonna come out to play with a chip on their shoulder. And you can't tell me that doesn't make a difference (i.e. Iowa vs Texas last year).

Well, that assumes the individual matchups were comparable. It's like Mizz v. Arkansas yesterday. I don't know what those 2 teams were doing getting matched in a bowl game (if you go by national rankings). Of course, the same can be said for Michigan/Florida--except Michigan did get the upset.
