Weather in ny city...avg high 39

December

It's cold in December and wintry weather and snow are very possible, though the past few years have been mild. I would pack winter clothing (warm sweaters, gloves, hats and so forth), for a visit to New York in December.

Exactly was I was hoping for when planning a bowl trip for this year:mad::mad::no::no::arghh::arghh:

How exactly does a site get chosen to be a bowl game site? And who's *** needs to be kicked off a committee for picking NYC for even being an option for a bowl game site?

I'm guessing they pony up the money and get to do it. The greedy bastards at the top of college football would sell their own mothers if it got them an extra buck. My question is who the heck thought that a bowl game there was a good idea? I thought it was stupid when they announced it in the first place, and was hoping it would go broke quickly.

Proves... some people just always wanna complain... I will not.. I will embrace this team... its accomplishments, and not cry like a little baby... some of you seriously check your man cards- boo whooo.. babies.

GO STATE ! Goin to NEW YORK ! Suck it up fair weather fans.

My wife is a Hawk fan, and generally tolerates football at best. She is a fan of warm weather destinations, so that would have been my only hope for a bowl trip. I'm very excited to watch my Cyclones beat the snot out of Rutgers, but I won't be there in person.

LOL- "My wife is a Hawk fan".... that sums it up. "Tolerates football at best"- typical "hawk fan" BANDWAGON nothin more. Cut the ball and chain... join fellow Cyclone FANATICS in New York. GO STATE - PASSION.

Just as a matter of interest, if you read the posts you find that the Rutgers fans are not real happy with the Pinstripe Bowl either, and it is because they were hoping to go south. There appears to be some who blame the coaching staff for the Rutgers loss to UConn; had they won, their 9-3 record would have gotten them a better bowl.
