Never should have been at the plate. Should have let Victorino pinch hit. With the infield in they just needed contact. Longoria didn't even shorten his swing with two strikes. Bad move by Davey Johnson.
Thank god that guy doesn't subscribe to the hang 'em and bang 'em theory because that pitch was meat.
Lead off walks are a killer no matter who is on the hill or in the field. Just one of those things you can't do and expect to win.
