WBB: Previewing Iowa State's Home Date with TCU

This team is good. One of the best teams I've seen them have in a while. Joens is going to be special, and the chemistry with everyone is outstanding.

ISU wins 92-54. The 2nd quarter continues to be very good for us. I only caught the last 5 minutes, but obviously things went very well.

We played great defense but TCU was just brutal at 10 points each in the 1st and 2nd. We are playing great but TCU looked more like a 2-12 team than a 12-2 team. 1st quarter was kind pretty ugly basketball for both teams.

Joens was smoking from three and Scott was perfect from the field again. Only bad stat was Middletons 6 turnovers in 24 minutes. 57 rebounds on all of those TCU misses to boot! :)

And, of course, Carleton had a double/double and great all around game (again).

Ya'll are scoring an absolutely ridiculous amount of points up there. You need to slow it down and show a little mercy !! My My

Saturday will be a nice test to see where we are. From what I saw KSU, KU, and TCU will be toward the cellar of the big 12 this year.

These in game DJ's they have at home games are brutal. I get why they have them in the G-league and NBA but are not needed in college.

For how good looking the TCU coach is, her teams style of play is UGLY AS F***.

Idk what their attendance is, but who would want to pay money to go watch a game like the first quarter tonight all the time?!

Good athletes, just bad basketball skill players.

Irony was coach didn't seem upset about those; he talked about this in his presser, and even had Lex at post game.

I think it will be a dogfight for 4 through 10 in the league.

It's not like it's a one off as she's averaging 5 turnovers a game in Big 12 play. That is a LOT for an ISU team and for someone who isn't some sort of volume shooter/scorer. The MBB forum would be having a meltdown (well they are anyway!) if Halliburton or Babb were doing that. When he does rotate guards he has Johnson who has been good at assists and ball security so it isn't as bad an assist/TO ratio when you total their stats. Fennelly has not seemed as quick on his error trigger as some years. And there is seemingly always some who get to play through mistakes, last year it was Wise while Scott and Johnson had the hair trigger.

Disclaimer: WINNING.

I still think he pulls people too fast for mistakes. but, you're right, the error trigger only applies to some players

Good athletes, just bad basketball skill players.

If the TCU coach spent as much time complaining to the refs coaching they might play better. The whole game she spent more time in their ears then telling her players what they should be doing. I blame that on the officials as they need to tell these coaches (who spend the whole game) to coach and stop complaining about every play on the floor.

I think the difference is Alexa can be very aggressive to the basket and paint area on the dribble drive. We used to win a lot when Nikkie Moody the TO queen was PG too.

I agree but, to be fair, Bill did his fair share of complaining to the refs last night too
