***WBB Gameday vs St. Thomas (7 pm)***

Audi is becoming a favorite for me. While she's good on the court (and hopefully will become great with time), on the team's social posts she looks like she is a lot of fun!

My daughter used to doctor up at the Shriners Hospital that is just up the road from St. Thomas. It's a beautiful campus in a really pretty old area of Minneapolis. It's pretty cool Iowa State agreed to make the trip up there.

It's in Saint Paul :)

These freshmen are good!!! The future is bright. I just hope this team can get hot and pull through some big wins! Emily Ryan would really direct this team well when and if back. Crooks Joens Brown are outstanding! Jackson and Bristow also great and seeming to find their flow. Belanger and Nelly are great and hopefully settle in and keep playing well and better each game! Diew adjusted well as starter averaging 11.2ppg I feel she will have a few break out games and put some nice numbers up. Sunday looks like a nice opportunity for the team to get some more momentum back heading into the big game Wednesday!

maybe a little bit of a recruiting trip? Although if so, I'd much rather play Minnesota.....UConn played Minnesota about a week or so ago, I think partly because Paige Bueckers is from the Minneapolis area

I'd love to have the Cyclone play the Gophers in the Barn again. Been a long time and it's not like we were losing those games.

St. Thomas is in the Summit League now and we did go on the road to NDSU and South Dakota State in the last few years.. Was discussed earlier it's probably a 1 for two trade with two in Hilton for ISU. They have played Wisconsin twice in Madison and the Badger are also now coming to St. Paul to play on (Tommies next game). Tommies are a few years away from being competitive in the Summit.

It will our only road game before traveling to Stillwater to open Big 12 play so even though it's a bus trip it was an overnight one game experience squeezed in between practice and class (something the five freshman haven't had to do yet) and not an extended trip like the holiday one.

She does talk a lot on the court. In this small venue you could hear her calling for the ball or trying to direct things which was something you can't hear in Hilton unless you have courtside seats.

Made me miss sitting courtside in the Old Armory where you could hear everything the coaches were saying in quiet moments. I remember Maury John (than coaching Drake) admonish the refs with "Hell's Bell!" Immediately resulted in us students chanting "Hells' Bells, Maury!"

Quick thoughts on the game as a Tommie alum and Cyclone fan. The Tommie shooting performance was epically bad. I don’t think they could have made many more shots had the basket been Lake Nokomis. While the venue was small, it was such a treat to sit that close to the action. You really could see the players reactions/ personalities. I’m liking Crooks even more now.

Shout- out to BoxsterCy from the Tommiefan you met at Tiffs. It was great meeting you!

Roll Toms And Go Cyclones!

I enjoyed chatting with you folks to!

Going to have to email a thanks to the St. Thomas ticket staff. They were great in helping us set up the game tickets and answering questions on parking etc.

It'd be great if Audi would be the next big thing in the state of Iowa College sports. What a refreshing change that'd be.
