We're far enough into the season that it's time to start posting some of the records that might be broken this season. I'll post some select stats below.

Yes, it does appear to be the oldest record in the record book (tied with her freshman FGM record). The three oldest records (freshman ppg, freshman FGM, freshman FG%) are all under siege this year.Ok, seemingly the oldest WBB record on the books, the freshman average PPG (15.11) set by Colleen Peterson of Dayton, IA in 1975 / 76, is under siege by both Audi and Addy.
Using this as a yardstick after many superb players, some moving to the WNBA, spending their career at Iowa State you can sort of extrapolate future success. Having two teammates on track for record scoring by a freshman may be a strong indicator we have an exceptional chance of scoring potential barring injury and team cohesiveness.Ok, seemingly the oldest WBB record on the books, the freshman average PPG (15.11) set by Colleen Peterson of Dayton, IA in 1975 / 76, is under siege by both Audi and Addy. I know Colleen - she left ISU after her sophomore year to attend nursing school in Iowa City - she just retired after a lengthy career in the field. She never talks about her basketball accomplishments - both of her children were fine athletes in HS and graduated from ISU - I wouldn’t be surprised if none of them know she still owns this record! Fun!
Welle and Pop were so fun to watch in the paintSEASON AVERAGES

Two items with regard to Colleen (Peterson) Grace's freshman scoring records:Using this as a yardstick after many superb players, some moving to the WNBA, spending their career at Iowa State you can sort of extrapolate future success. Having two teammates on track for record scoring by a freshman may be a strong indicator we have an exceptional chance of scoring potential barring injury and team cohesiveness.
Two items with regard to Colleen (Peterson) Grace's freshman scoring records:
1) She played before the introduction of the three-point line, so advantage Addy & Audi.
2) I don't think freshman were allowed to play varsity in 75/76, so Colleen's competition level might have been lower.
If I'm wrong on either of these, I trust one of the knowledgeable board denizens to correct me.

I knew it wouldn't take long to gain clarity - thank you for the answer. That makes it cooler Colleen's record is still standing 48 years later.Changed in 1972, before we started a WBB program in 1974. Our MBB analysist, Eric Heft, was on one of our last freshman teams in 1970-71. I actually went to those games in the Old Armory since two guys in Dana House were on the team.
Is Em going to be able to knock off moody on the assists?Updated with last night's game. Audi is now in the top 20 in total points by a freshman.
