I have not seen or heard anything regarding the TV webcast on foxsports.com, and presume that it won't be happening. If anyone has information for us out-of-staters, it'd be appreciated!

I was wondering the same thing. I live in Michigan and really want to see the game but I have not found anything on FoxSports.com. Any help??

I saw somewhere where Fox sports was doing something, however can't find it. Live in New Mexico and as always we out of state ISU Alum and Fans get the short end of the S_ _ t stick. I and my Sirius radio will again have to do. Jamie P is going to have to address the out of state alum sooner than later if the program he has laid out is going to happen. I live in a Des Moines sized market with the University of New Mexico across town. They have TV state wide for every Lobo game, home and away. Makes you wonder out loud.

I am hoping we just go to msn.foxsports.com/cfb on the day of the game and its there. Cross our fingers. Another link possible is this one, as this is where fox sports has lots of their video.

I could be way out to lunch as I have no idea like everyone else. Like I said I am hoping a link just magically appears on GameDay.

Go Cyclones!!!

:growl5cj: Luv that post by Hulk. We are both mad.

Here is my response to Fox Sports. While I may have assumed some things (the two week thing w/ Pollard) I think I have the jist of it down. Thoughts?

I am dismayed and frankly disgusted at the way that Fox Sports has changed their mind at the last minute concerning the Iowa State - Toledo Football webcast. As our Athletic Director announced two weeks ago, those of us who are fans of Iowa State but live out of state were looking forward to "watching" the game via the web here on foxsports. For those of us not in Iowa to watch the game live, or at least on the local channels, this WAS our chance to see the game!
Sadly, someone decides to pull the plug on this. What is this IMBECILE thinking? Two bowl teams from last year, one playing in the Big 12 and battling once again for a Big 12 North Championship, and the other in the top half of the MAC conference with a bowl victory last year! And you still decide to pull the plug?
In an age full of people seemingly rescinding their offers of cooperation at the drop of the hat, I would have hoped that Fox and Fox Sports would be above that. Sadly, I am sorely mistaken.
I do hope you listen to the barrage of emails that will be coming into you today and tomorrow from a wide variety of Iowa State Fans. After all, Iowa isn't just a lowly midwestern state where you can mess with its people and negate offers in a whimsical moment; we have two D-I football programs that play in the Big 12 and Big 10 (11), both of which have battled for bowl games and conference championships in the past three years. Take us seriously and listen to what we say; after all, all of the Presidential candidates listen and pay attention to us come caucus time, don't they?

Was it Fox Sports???or something at ISU ??? The teaser in these threads and by ISU has ISU alum and fans out of state really pissed off. Come on, do you really think the "next big step" will happen without the Alum out of state?????

Jamie is doing some great marketing, the billboard in south Cedar Rapids( my former home town) for example. But Great Marketing is national and that means TV via web or satillite for alum that donate and recuriting to the next level. Marketing in Iowa and Mediacom for Iowa is OK, but always remember, Iowa is a great place to be from.

Enough, let me go get my Siruis radio out of car and get set up for AUDIO!

Why is the game on Thursday night anyway? If you don't have a t.v. contract for that game keep it on Saturday.

It was never, ever moved to Thursday for TV reasons.

The game was moved to Thursday night in order to avoid the mass exodus that comes with the Labor Day weekend. Pollard and his staff were being proactive and felt they'd get better attendance on Thursday night vs. Saturday night.

There have been several Thursday night openers that I can think of. Thank goodness for Sirius!! I will also be one of the out-of-staters listening to the flippin radio tomorrow night.

It is John and Eric for home games, away games you usually have to listen to the other team broadcast for big 12 games, although basketball they do sometimes have the ISU broadcast instead of the other team. I believe most if not all of the Big 12 is on Sirius now, so you won't miss a conference game. Usually the pre and post game shows are on as well, although for tomorrow I believe the start time isn't until 7:00 pm on channel 155.
