Some dude trying to walk across Niagara Falls WITH a harness.....Come on now....His grandpa died from doing this WITHOUT a harness. He needs to do it without a harness. Now it's pointless to watch.

He wanted to do it without a harness, but ABC is making him wear it so that it is "family friendly" programming so if he does slip, no little kids have to see someone die.

Also, I heard something about the tightrope being twice the normal diameter. Not that that would make any difference to me.

Still a pretty small rope.

Why didn't they start the coverage at 5? Thye need to spend more time previewing it. Too much to talk about in so little time. Do I really need a Jimlad?

Harness makes this harmless. That's so stupid. I understand they want it to be family friendly, but were they that cautious with Evil Kenevil?

ABC will get more attention, and probably more money as a result, if this dude doesn't wear a harness, than if this dude falls with a harness. Everyone is going to be ****** they spent time watching this primetime BS if this dude falls and lives. He has so much to live up to now.

For the record, I want him to live.

We just visited Niagara Falls late last week. After doing the Maid of the Mist tour, this sounds incredibly difficult even with a "wider" tight-rope. When they call it a mist, it's really more of a steady rain with good wind just from the movement of the water over the edge. When the boat pulled into the middle of Horseshoe Falls, the mist obscured just about everything. When he's on the rope in the middle of the falls, he won't be able to see much if any horizon to orient himself.

I feel like if he did slip and fall, his balance bar could slide up and either hit his throat or choke him if he was hanging upside down.

I hope the overhead camera doesn't pull an Insight Bowl and fly through the air and hit this guy.
