can't stand him. typically not in line with most for the reason...
but mainly because isn't any fun to listen too, even if he is doing your game.
horse voice, yelling, bumbling and always talking .... very distracting.

put my vote in for hate. BTW he predicted UNC to win it all last night BABY! Did Duke fall off the face of the earth? I never knew Vitale could use the world "championship" in a sentance with out following it up with the Dukies.
I know its been said before, but everytime I see WI play I notice the startling similarity of their PG to Chris Rock.
I've never seen 'em side by side, but that is really close.

I have little respect for a commentator that chooses to not come to the best Big 12 arena. Even when we had back to back Big 12 Championships, he didn't work a game here. He has never been in Hilton because of the Orr thing, and at this point, I don't ever want to see him in Hilton.
I didn't vote cuz I am in between. He can be annoying but for the most part I enjoy his basketball knowledge.
Dookie V. has become terribly "tired". Long ago it was a nice change of pace...a little passion. Now it's just plain over-the-top idiocy.
I must be the only one here but I love a guy that shows that much enthusiasm and passion for something. He may talk a lot and may be loud be he knows what he's talking about. It's also sad if you guys can't watch a great game just because someone is annoying.

For those who don't know, Johnny Orr was the winning coach in Dikie V's final loss of his college coaching career.
Even though I think the Big 10 gets way too much attention in the first place... I grew up watching the league and enjoy watching some of the teams. To say the least, I wasn't happy when Dickie was announcing the game last night. Keep him in his beloved ACC!
I used to hate Dickie V way back in the day....we're talking late 80's/ early 90's, but then I watched a special that he did called "the game of life", and I have liked him ever since. His commentating can get old, but as a man, he has an unbelievable passion for life, and for young people, and you have to respect that. I have tried several times to find a copy of that, because it was really

I have a hard time believing that Dicky V won't come to Hilton because of that...it looks like he was falling over laughing at the end of the clip! I think that's one of the ISU urban myths.
