I wonder if the Chargers will step up their negotiations with Vincent Jackson after last night's offensive performance. They seem to be one playmaker away from having a great offense.

he is out for at least 6 games this year. 3 games from the NFL and 3 games from the Chargers

I have heard the the NFLPA is going to try to get it lessened to just 3 games.

Thats stupid. The teams have to have a way that they can punish a player for not showing up to work. He has a contract per the collective bargining agreement. He needs to man up and accept it.

Vincent Jackson isn't going to win that fight, he's going to be suspended for 6 games. The Chargers have put a couple of offers on the table and VC won't sign because he (his agents) want a big fat long term deal before the collective bargaining agreement is tossed. KC won that game not because the Chargers didn't have Jackson, but because of their incredible special teams. McCluster and Arenas are strong and fast when compared to Sproles. The more likely scenario is VC doesn't play at all, or at the least will sign toward the end of the season because he needs to play 6 games this year to count toward free agency.

They did play well on a wet field.

I don't think the Chargers want anything to do with him. What's interesting is they seem willing to trade him to an NFC team only. Apparently a team some think its the Vikings had an agreement with Jackson but the Chargers wanted to much in trade for him.
