Vikings calling out Rodgers

Personally, I think once the Vikings get their QB situation figured out they then can start commenting on the rights and wrongs of another team's situation. Just a thought...

I like this quote by Allen.

"Hopefully, I can put my helmet square in the back of his spine. If I can do that and knock the ball loose, it'll be a good day."

Ah, Jared Allen. I miss him already...

I'm really going to miss Allen as a Chiefs fan. I'm rooting for the Vikings this year and I hope he gets 25 sacks so Chiefs fans are all over Carl.

Rodgers is an ok QB but I still dont understand why they would get Rid of the best QB in the whole NFL.(was dont know about this year.)

I would have made something work with Favre, but the guy did put the Packers in a really bad position retiring and telling them he was going to stay that way. They moved on, made some commitements to a new guy and new system and bam, Mr. Favre want back in.

I do respect the fact the Packers stood by their new guy. That took some guts and a strong spine.

At least both sides got what they wanted eventually. The Packers also will get a draft pick and save some money is salary. Brett gets to keep on playing.

Two reasons -

1. Eventually a team has to move on. The Packers had already done that when Favre retired.

2. Was last year "return to norm" Brett or was it "year of abberation" Brett? The two years prior to last year he was playing some pretty lousy football.

Vikings will be in the superbowl this year. They will go into Lambeu field on opening night (monday) and win by 3 TD's. The GB fans will boo Rodgers off the field.

Brett Farve will miss week 2 of the season, after the Jets beat the Dolphins in week 1 and he watches monday nights game he will pull a stomach muscle from laughing so hard at Rodgers and his former teammates.

WOW. Somebody save this one. I want to pull a stomach muscle laughing at this later in the season.

I noticed you didn't say anything about winning the Super Bowl. That's one thing about Viking fans, they talk smack, but deep down they know their team sucks and there is no hope for the future. Should have moved to Florida when you had the chance.

Similar to Packers fans, except they get to put all their faith in a washed up Wangler jeans spokesman. Oh wait.....

I don't think a Bears fan is qualified to talk smack about anybody's QB, since they haven't seen a quarterback in Chicago since Sid Luckman.

I can talk smack about anything I want, I can admit my QBs suck and that the Bears organization can't seem to figure out that Grossman and a myriad of other losers aren't the answer.

I have never understood one team providing billboard material for their opponents. Look at how well it worked out for the Frenchies at the Olympics. I hope Rodgers tears the Vikings apart.

Good post. I don't hold anything against the Pack being loyal to their new QB. But I do firmly believe it won't work out just how they've planned/expect.

This is all head games by the Vikings. Anything to win and try to shake the confidence of a new QB. The Pack let Favre go for a reason - and the only reason that makes sense is Rodgers play.

Rodgers likely won't replicate Favre's 07/08 season, but I'm fairly confident he'll be better than Jackson and hope management is right that he's the QB of the future, at least the immediate future.

Oh, and there's a reason Vike fans only talk of getting to the Superbowl, not winning it. IIRC, Vikes SB record = 0-4. Pack SB record = 3-1. With numerous NFL titles before that.
