Video Friday Flashback: 2004 Football Comeback vs. Kansas State

I was there with Blythe's parent's and Meyer's parent's sitting behind us. That small southeast corner of the stadium was all cardinal and gold. The best part was when the whole team came over and sang the fight song and Ellis went into the stands to celebrate. What a great game to be at. I will always remember it and talking with Stevie after the game. Godspeed Stevie!!

I was moving pigs that day. I went into the barn and we were losing, come out of the barn and were either tied or up by one. Caught the next couple scores. What a game!

Seems like Stevie always took it to KSU. He had a great game against them in in 05 too.

Also, how good would Meyer be in this type of offense? He could scoot when he got in the open field. That HB read would be a real threat with BM taking the snap. He had big run potential if the DE closed down onto the halfback, which would require the DE to stay at home, opening up running lanes up the gut for the running back.

I remember that game. This came after a long stretch of being pummeled by K-State, and a comeback win like that was exciting to watch. Plus, IIRC, that made us bowl eligible a year after that 2003 season we had so much fun with.

Meyer was the same QB that AA was, just not as good.

Really? I kinda thought it was the other way around. AA was far more physical but I never saw AA as a passing threat. But, then again BM did have some WR's that got open and held on to the ball, which is nice.
Now the question is, how would AA be on the 2004-2007 teams?

Meyer had better receivers than AA. Blythe, Flynn, Jon Davis, and RJ Sumrall. That is one dependable group.
