NFL: Vick not Happy

I'll trade him jobs, get paid, not to get the crap beat out of me in the NFL.

poor baby I feel so bad for him :jimlad:

He had plenty of other teams he could have chosen to sign with and may have gotten some playing time. He had to have known he wasn't going to get any playing time in Philly unless McNabb got hurt. Only McNabb got hurt in week 1 and Vick was still under a ban.

send him back to prison he obviously didnt learn anything

Let the implosion begin! If the Eagles drop another and McNabb again misses open receivers, it'll be fun in Philly...just as I predicted. :)

Michael Vick said earlier this year that the situation in Philly was not what he expected. He fully expected to be a starting quarterback somewhere. Not a very realistic expectation for someone who had been out of football for several years. It sounds as if his expectations haven't gotten any more realistic.
Michael Vick has always been a superior athlete. While that translates to quarterback in high school and some college systems, it does not work that way in the NFL.

I loved the comments that Andy Reid brings Vick in when he wants the offense to stall. :biglaugh:

I watched Bob Costas interview Vick Sunday...about football. Vick came across as a player who wanted to play and contribute to his team. He did not appear in that interview to be whining or complaining about anything...just wanted to play. The biggest whiner on that team is the starting QB!

I can't disagree with this either.

Like I said, one or two more losses with McNabb not at his best and the fans in Philly will be tossing him under the bus and waiting to see Vick "save" the Eagles. :)

Uhh...you helped kill dogs. Shut up Vick. You shouldn't even be in the NFL right now....you should be a janitor.

(Sorry to all you janitors out there.)

I agree. This story is kind of twisting what he said and the fact that Dungy added there are other teams looking for a starting QB and Buffalo had shown interest before. Not once did Vick come off as whining. He simply stated that he thinks he has something to offer and is a QB not a wildcat guy.

anyone here would feel the same.....would want to start. read the damned article before pouncing....he is matter of fact, not whining or complaining.

Agree. For whatever reason (coaching, under advisement, just being himself), he is not complaining at all about his situation! He stated on TV that he is grateful that the Eagles gave him the opportunity he is currently experiencing.

I know what the guy did was bad. He went to prison and paid for it. There are guys walking the street in our society that have murdered and raped and spent very little time paying for it. In some cases getting off completely. They let them out and they do it again. I don't see the coverage about them as much as I have seen it about Vick.

Leave the guy alone and let him get on with his life. Yes he killed dogs and I like animals probably more then most in here. Think about how many dogs are gassed everyday at the animal shelters across the country.

What he did was bad, but he paid for it and we should forget about it.

Any competitor would want to play, especially when the guy in front of you has been lackluster. He is very lucky to be in the position he is in but it was Philly who took a chance on him. He served his debt to society and is getting a second chance. It was a sick crime that he committed, but he has served his time. Read the article before jumping to conclusions.
