One more match for the US in this segment of qualification until the Hex picks back up in September. DaMarcus Beasley is out for this one due to yellow card accumulation. Honduras will be missing a lot of key pieces to their squad, Victor Brnardez, Maynor Figuoroa, Boniek Garcia, and Jerry Bengtson are all out for a variety of reasons. TV coverage is on ESPN and begins at 8 central.

Man I am hoping for three points out of this. Going into these three games, I thought 7 points out of the three games would be great and provide the team with a nice cushion going into the final 4 games. If we can get all 9 points, the US has basically qualified and takes a ton of pressure off the lads and maybe lets Coack K II play around a little more to see if he can find more depth for the WC roster.

Not to get off track but do we know what the Gold Cup roster is going to look like yet?

I would venture to guess it will look really young and really MLSy.

Ian beat me to it. JK already released a preliminary Gold Cup of over 30 names. As most people predicted it is MLS heavy and interestingly included Landon Donovan. One guy that I am excited to see in the Gold Cup is Jack Mac.

Ahhh, I missed seeing the goal. But good job USA and hello World Cup!

Was that last challenge in the Honduras box not a foul? I didn't get to re-watch it. I though it should have been a penalty at first look.
