After beating a good team on the road, I thought we'd move closer to #15, but I'll take it.
Nah, there were only a couple teams ahead of us that lost. It's hard to leap over other teams unless you beat like a top 10 team.
Honestly I think that's about right for our current resume.

Fun to be ranked! Would be fun to be the last 2 undefeated teams when we play baylor on jan 1st in Hilton! (hope we have a lot of fans there...)
I'm not gonna complain, we'd be higher if we had better preseason expectations but I'd prefer to have these guys keep playing the way they are without getting comfortable.
If we beat Iowa we will likely be 12-0 going into the B12 slate and will be on the verge of being ranked top 10

It's early, so it doesn't mean a whole lot, but compare our wins to USC (who jumped four spots this week).
4 big 12 schools in the top 17. Big 12 , Big East and SEC look much better than the rest of the p6.
Is there a chance that this team could handle the high ranking? It seems they are different for some reason. Usually, ISU teams in the past 15 years or so, get ranked in the top 10 and then completely lose their minds. Maybe we're seeing a disciplined team that can handle that pressure? Who knows? This is 1,000,000 time more than I expected this year and I'm loving it.
I think so. I have yet to see any tendencies of not taking an opponent seriously or "hero ball". Bobby Knight's 1976 record is in no danger......the guys will lose a game sooner or later. How they respond to their first loss IMO might be a little tougher to handle than a higher ranking. With that said I'm not overly concerned. Without their two best scorers showing up, they just beat a decent, very motivated team in their first true road game. I have a feeling they will be okay no matter their rank.
I agree, I think we should be #15, but that Memphis win looks a lot different in the past week too.
Seth Davis did not give us much credit for the road win. He did say that he will be paying close attention to the cyhawk game. Win that and I think we coast to the top 12 by the end of the non-con
