Ankeny, IA.
Will be a huge dual and likely to be a lot closer than most would think. Will be interesting to see how UNI fares with WVU today.

125 - toss up. Andersen from Ankeny is tougher than I expected.

133 - slight favorite. Frost majored Farber in Vegas but he has been tough since and likely keeps it closer.

141 - toss up. Obviously this assuming Ech goes. Happel is tough as nails and took it to Ech in Vegas, but see above.

149 - heavy favorite. This should approaching bonus territory depending on who UNI throws out.

157 - toss up. Super impressed with Downey this year, he is tough. Our guy will be ready to scrap too.

165 - heavy favorite.

174 - toss up. MJ is hot right now and Simma is a pinner as well. Definitely likely to see back points in this one.

184 - heavy underdog.

197 - underdog. Voelker is only going to get better and is a future AA IMO.

285 - heavy favorite. Their guy is no slouch but this shouldn’t be an issue. He’s an athletic, smaller heavy.

Could be a tight one, UNI always has this one circled.

Good take... I'd have to list Ech as a slight underdog. If he can flip that match and then beat him again in conference that could really boost his seed. Happel is a hammer and I can see him on the podium in KC.... I think the same about Ech.

This one is always underrated in its level of fun. UNI normally has some piss and vinegar to them. We will get their A game. And The pressers this week will be fantastic I assume as always.

Calling my shot now: if Anthony is healthy, you can caulk that one up to the good guys.

Yeah, I think if he can avoid bottom he will beat Happel.

If he can’t, it could be a struggle like Vegas. He couldn’t get out.

Question: Is Voelker a good comp for Hagarty? I never saw him wrestling High school so I’m just going by what I remember reading during each wrestlers recruitment.

UNI up 12-7 on WVU at intermission.

Happel majored Titus after being up 3-2 heading into the 3rd. Must have been a big move in there somewhere.

WVU won 125 and 149 (MD), UNI won 133 (TF) and 157. Both 125 and 157 were down to the wire.

Is okie st just a way better dual team this year than a tourney team? 33 obviously then 65 and that kid at 41 but then what?

Hwt would have a chance to AA as well as he is ranked 9th. I would have the following:

Locks to AA: 133, 184
Very good chance to AA: 165
AA contender: 125, 141, Hwt
Unlikely: 149, 157, 174, 197
Now for us.
Locks: 165, hwt
Very good chance:N/A
AA contender: 133, 141, 149, 157, 184
Decent chance: 174
Unlikely: 125
No way: 197

I’d probably put 174 as unlikely right now. Love how MJ is progressing, but it’d be a pretty major upset if he AA’d this year
Agree with that, just had him significantly more likely than 125. 174 would be more like dark horse than decent chance. He was getting taken apart by picklo before that pin. He is wild to watch.

They are different. However, Watching a Gaitan match is like watching a Degen match: you gotta strap in and ride the whole thing out, and be real prepared to see something that makes you uncomfortable.
