How was Morgan the beginning of the downfall with all 3 winning seasons, 4 post season wins and 4 top 10 wins? He had the highest winning percentage against ranked teams of any coach in ISU history. Put the blame squarely where it belongs, on Mcdermott. We should have known he wouldn't be good for ISU basketball from the time he called Homan a thug.

I've never understood this either. I guess this is a case where reality doesn't line up with perception.

Wayne should have had a minimum of 1-2 more years before we made a decision on him, IMO. He certainly didn't do enough to get fired, IMO. Had he been the coach at KU or UNC, I can understand that his results would have probably led to him being terminated, but not at ISU.

Once again I'll point out...

McDermott was a hot commodity when Jamie hired him. A lot of people wanted him, even the Hawks (thought they'll never admit it now.) You can't blame Jamie for not having a crystal ball. It seemed like a good hire at the time to a lot more "experts" than just JP.

Apparently the AD at Creighton still thinks he is. HA HA!!

That's an excellent point. You are most assuredly correct. Kevin Bacon is ultimately responsible for the demise of Iowa State Men's Basketball. As a result of this revelation, I think that every Cyclone fan should refuse to watch Hollow Man, Flatliners, or The Air Up There ever again. It's the least we can do.
