Hey, the answer to this might already be somewhere on these forums, and if it is I apologize.

Anyway, I'm hoping to be able to watch Twins games on TV here in Ames this season, and was wondering if anyone had some suggestions on how I could do it.

As far as I know, Twins games are blacked out here, so getting the sports package wouldn't do me much good. But maybe I'm mistaken or if someone has an alternative I'd be glad to hear it.

Thanks ahead of time.

Most Twins games are on Fox Sports Net North. There are actually 2 FSN North channels, you want the Minnesota channel, not the Wisconsin channel (that will give you Brewers games).

Saturday's spring training game was indeed on FSN North. To get FSN North in Central Iowa, you'll need either DirecTV or Dish Network and their respective sports pack. On DirecTV, FSN North is on channel 668.

No blackouts will apply on either DirecTV or Dish Network as all of Iowa is in the Twins TV market. On the MLB Internet TV package, Blackouts will apply as MLB and FSN North want you to watch the games on FSN North.

It's crap you can't get them on radio around here. Unless the Champ picked them up.

Twins games are not blacked out if you get the Fox sports package. I get Cubs (comcast/wgn), Cards (Fox Sports Midwest), and Twins (Fox Sports North). All other games on Fox Sports are blacked out. I have DISH Network.

Yep, one of the perks of living in Iowa is you are in the "local market" of 6 different MLB teams:

Cubs
White Sox
Twins
Cardinals
Royals
Brewers

Their games aren't blacked out as long as you have subscribe to the Sports Pack to get their station.
