Probably a smart move. I was hoping this would happen last year and maybe even the year earlier. So much better on his health. Glad they're doing it now.

Saw this as well. Smart move to keep a great hitter's legs more fresh.

Plus, not like he can't catch day games after late nights.

Twins need some serious firepower additions if they want a chance.

Should have made this move years ago before they dumped Wilson Ramos for Matt Capps. Could have moved Morneau to DH. Oh well.....

Theoretically they still could, as a DH. Though Morneau is nothing more than a platoon hitter at this point, and Gardenhire doesn't believe in platooning.

A Morneau/Plouffe DH platoon actually would have had a solid line (looking at this year's splits).

So they can have $25 million in unused payroll next year instead of $20 million unused like last year?
