I guess a message board poster's opinion creates a fact in that regard? As shown in another thread, these numbers are, at best, incomplete and, at worst, skewed to fit a narrative.
Because or the Nelson ratings? Becuase I don’t want to believe that 2.6 people were so bored they watched Rutgers/northwesternAs shown in another thread, these numbers are, at best, incomplete and, at worst, skewed to fit a narrative.
Playing ranked teams helps a lot.![]()

I watched parts of both Nebraska/Minnesota and Northwestern/Rutgers because football. Not sure why that is so hard to understand.Because or the Nelson ratings? Becuase I don’t want to believe that 2.6 people were so bored they watched Rutgers/northwestern
It was the only game on during that time slot lol you could've stuck any two P5 teams in that slot and they'd have pulled similar ratings. Those two teams suck.Because or the Nelson ratings? Becuase I don’t want to believe that 2.6 people were so bored they watched Rutgers/northwestern
100% agree, just damn there is so much content out there unless you were an alum I just don’t get it.It was the only game on during that time slot lol you could've stuck any two P5 teams in that slot and they'd have pulled similar ratings. Those two teams suck.
That’s generous of you to call Rutgers/northwestern football lolI watched parts of both Nebraska/Minnesota and Northwestern/Rutgers because football. Not sure why that is so hard to understand.
Me too, it's college football!!!I watched parts of both Nebraska/Minnesota and Northwestern/Rutgers because football. Not sure why that is so hard to understand.
You're usually pretty balanced, but this one is a slip on your part. The data I provided in the other post was directly from Nielsen where THEY said their data was incomplete (ie the exact data presented in this post) and wouldn't be complete for several days after because it's missing so much data from other viewership channels. So, your comment should instead be directed at them. Or are you saying they're not reputable? Also, wouldn't you consider a complete data set to include ESPN+ and ESPN app viewership? I know I would.I guess a message board poster's opinion creates a fact in that regard?
Ummm this does include numbers from the espn app. If a game is only on ESPN+ it’s viewership is going to be too low to realistically matterYou're usually pretty balanced, but this one is a slip on your part. I suppose I could have been more clear as to what I was suggesting- rather than post a thought that readers would have to wade through another thread to find a basis for, maybe post the reasoning with a link if necessary too. You're usually pretty balanced, but this one is a slip on your part. Agreed. It being the first full CFB weekend of the year helped immensely though. Betting also drives engagement. Maybe not a ton, but I had Rutgers -6.5 in a parlay and I can tell you I truly only tuned in to see if that hit.100% agree, just damn there is so much content out there unless you were an alum I just don’t get it.
DirecTV is fighting with Nexstar, who carries local affiliates from all 4 major networks. Depending on where you live any one of them may be blacked outI bet the NBC numbers would be higher if DirecTV didn't have that channel blacked out currently.
Wait why are these skewed? As shown in another thread, these numbers are, at best, incomplete and, at worst, skewed to fit a narrative.
