This thread is to discuss the turnover margin for ISU. What is the situation on turnovers? How is it being improved? What can reduce turnovers? This was inspired by a recent interview with cmc about reducing turnovers being a priority for him. Campbell said "it takes no talent to reduce turnovers".

Been to some of their Toledo practices. Daily emphasis placed on turnovers on both sides of the ball. Imagine same emphasis is being placed this year.

Ok, glad to know there is a smart*** still on here. Campbell had been doing a training for holding on the ball called winning the big 12 based on a similar practice performed in Toledo. The players hold blocks that are attached to a hanging weight to increase their grip.

What did McCarney do with the running backs to work on ball security? ISU had a ridiculously long streak of running back touches without a turnover when he was at the helm.

Warren did have quite a few fumbles last year. I think the one against Toledo was one that he caused himself by losing his balance. I don't think the defender even touched him. That was in the redzone. The K-State fumbles were killers, obviously. But talking turnovers always reminds me of that Nebraska game. As a team that may not be as talented a's most opponents, turnovers are crucial.
