Troy Davis ranked ahead of Adrian Peterson on this list. Seems about right!
Imagine how difficult it must have been to be the only big-time player on a team that would win just five games in two seasons. Opponents had to prepare to stop you and only you. Now imagine rushing for more than 2,000 yards and finishing in the Heisman top five twice on those teams. That's what Troy Davis did. https://www.espn.com/college-footba...football-100-best-running-backs-last-60-years
The person who made this list is dumb.
Agreed- how many other rbs have put up 2000+ yards in each of two of their seasons?
Only 3 RB's have ever done it twice. Ron Dayne and Jonathan Taylor are the other 2 and their season weren't back to back and either had bowl game stats included or were in seasons that had at least 12 games. Troy's were in seasons in which ISU only played 11 games. It's also what makes Barry Sanders' 1988 season so crazy is he ran for over 2600 yds in just 11 games.Agreed- how many other rbs have put up 2000+ yards in each of two of their seasons?
