Troy Davis gets mentioned in Rose Bowl

Barely got his 2000. Troy didn’t get a bowl game. Still impressive though. Wisconsin pissed this one away. Four turnovers. Woof.

I'll be the devil's advocate, Troy didn't nearly have the YPP that Jonathan Taylor has. Yes, he played more games, but Troy had far more rushing attempts.

Teams knew TD was going to get the ball and stacked the box. Still couldn't stop him. And that was behind an average o-line. Wisconsin always has great linemen.

TD routinely played against 8 or 9 men in box bc everyone knew he was our whole team. And he didnt just inflate his stats against bad teams, he brought it against everyone

I remember reading that some Heisman voter said he’d never vote for someone from Iowa St. Troy was arguably the best football player but had no chance at winning.

Troy Davis had 5.8 ypc and then 5.4 ypc on an average of 33.95 carries per game.
Jonathan Taylor had 7.2 and then 6.3 ypc and averaged 23.2 carries per game.
