Trayvon Reed

Arrested for: second-degree assault, second degree assault of a police officer, theft under $100 and resisting arrest. Broke police officer's two fingers.

Pass!!!!!

I think is a guy that we would have looked at a few years ago, but now fortunately we are in the position to be a little more selective.

I would say the Kaminski kid would be a lot more likely.

Not sure if he would have to sit out or could get a waiver but obviously we've been down that path before with MSU players and the trouble he got in isn't known yet but it may he less severe than this guy.

According to Hawk fans on twitter, we're always interested in criminals. Hoiberg calls all of them right away.

...Not to be confused with "doing it the right way".

Yea, I'm not under any delusion that the guys in our program are all perfect little angels, but I think we're at least at the point where we can focus on transfers that are leaving for program reasons, as opposed to legal issues.

This guy is no worse than Royce White. Stole a laptop and pushed over a mall cop.

I don't think we will pursue but wouldn't be totally shocked if we did.

Maybe he could come to Indian Hills for a year.

He is actually worse than Royce because Royce can play. I would say that a kid who is 7'1 and barely cracking the top 100 is not really that good. Guys who are 7'1 get rated because they are 7'1. Look at the kid in Iowa City. He was ranked top 50 and he is not good.

Sorry, but you don't know this. He has a pretty good offer list. I don't recall Woodbury getting that many good offers besides UNC.

Anyway, Woodbury and Reed have nothing to do with one another. Rankings aren't that important on an individual basis, IMO.

Actually Woodbury had a pretty good list of offers also. Also, I do know Royce could play.

Of course we know Royce can play now, that much is obvious. But when Fred took him, he was a big gamble too. Probably higher ceiling, but had a ton of issues too.

And replace who?

The way it sits now, there is no scholly room for this year. Next year there are two spots, but hopefully one will be taken by either Diallo or Ellenson, both of which I would rather have than this kid.

Ellenson isn't happening. Diallo is in play but still a long shot.

Are we still recruiting Ellenson? I thought we had cooled on him. Does anyone know where we stand with Illikianen, Dime, Ellenson, and Diallo? I think the recruitment for Diallo is still pretty active, but have not heard much for the other ones.

There really was no gamble whether he could play or not. The whole gamble was whether he could stay out of trouble. I think you would be gambling on both categories with this Maryland kid.
