Can somebody on the California Zypher heading to CU tell me why it is now 4 hours late getting to Omaha?

I mean at least there are places to grab a beer while waiting but seriously what happened?

Umm.... you took Amtrak. Last time I had an experience with Amtrak, I waited for my in-laws to get in for an 11 train, waited, waited, got drunk, watched NC game, got drunk, got sober, slept, got soberer, got into a fight with the Amtrak personnel and security, slept, picked up my in-laws 26 hours late. Alll while my wife and bro in law were at Beaver Creek. Best son in law ever award!!! Just sayin, you should make it for game time....

That is the only reason I took the train...pretty sure I'll make the game. Also why we left Thursday instead of Friday.

Last (only other) time I took Amtrak I didn't have this issue, but it was also only a three hour trip

Who knows. I've taken the train many times; and they have always made up time in rural areas during the night. Presuming that the train arrives shortly, prepare for a really, really fast ride...LOL!

Amtrak is your government at work!! Just like the Post Office, Social Security, Medicare/aide, etc.

4 AM timestamp? That's brutal.

May have been an EST time stamp in a CST time zone but either way... got on at 3:15 CST in Omaha. Supposed to get on at 11:05 pm...

Plus side? There were several bars less than 2 blocks away

Despite the 4 hour rediculous delay (made better by how it lined up with bar hours), I have to say Amtrak IS a fun way to travel
